Title: Assistant Manager

Overview
The Assistant Manager is
responsible for implementing and maintaining the services, procedures, and team
dynamics that drive overall member satisfaction. This person supports the service
team with preparation and execution of all member dining areas and banquet
events. The Assistant Manager will develop a beverage program that is tailored
for a premiere dining experience. The Assistant Manager is a member of the
Clubhouse Leadership team and is expected to lead by example in all areas. The
Assistant Manager will assist in all areas as assigned, energizing the culture
of the staff as well as member interactions, and maintaining the high standards
of service and behavior of the Wicker Point Golf Club.
Key
Responsibilities
·
Oversee the implementation and compliance
of WPGC’s service training program.
·
Write, monitor, and evaluate the weekly
schedules and payroll budget.
·
Build strong relationships to foster high
levels of teamwork. Responsible for coaching all team members and ensuring all
performance standards are in place and met.
·
Administer inventory programs for all
supplies and uniforms every quarter and ensures ongoing care and appropriate
replacement plans are in place.
·
Monitor the beverage program ensuring that
membership expectations are being met and exceeded.
General
Job Description
·
Develop and implement food and beverage
operations strategies aligned with the Wicker Point Golf Club’s overall
philosophy.
·
Assist the dining room manager with scheduling
personnel and planning dining room setup based upon anticipated member/guest
needs.
·
Greets and seats members and guests.
·
Creates an exceptional experience for
guests.
·
Carefully supervises restaurant staff to
help assure proper service. Takes orders when necessary.
·
Hires, trains, supervises, and evaluates food
and beverage staff within all venues.
·
Provides relevant reports concerning
employee hours, schedules, pay rates, job changes, tip pool, etc.
·
Constantly seeks opportunities to engage
membership and guests and follows up on their experience.
·
Receives and resolves complaints
concerning food, beverage, and service.
·
Serves as liaison between the dining room
and kitchen staff.
·
Conducts/directs pre-meal meetings with the
dining room personnel. Relays any information and policy changes and briefs
personnel on details about the evening.
·
Assures the correct appearance,
cleanliness and safety of dining room areas, equipment, and fixtures.
·
Checks the maintenance of all equipment in
the dining room and reports deficiencies and maintenance concerns.
·
Implements an inventory system for all
food and beverage outlets.
·
Aids in preparing the budget; monitors
actual versus budgeted expenses and takes corrective action as appropriate.
·
Monitors food and beverage labor; adjusts when
necessary to achieve financial goals.
·
Creates an environment for employees that
is aligned with the company culture through constant communication and
reinforcement.
·
Recruits and selects the employees needed
to provide the WPGC experience.
·
Provides employees with the tools and the environment
they need to succeed.
·
Develops and implements strategies and
practices that support employee retention.
·
May serve as opening or closing manager,
or manager on duty.
·
Assists Bar Manager with implementing a beverage
program within the restaurant as well as the Wine Down Room in Pro Shop.
·
Oversee the operations of banquet events
and ensure they are staffed and set up properly.
·
Perform any other duties assigned by the Club
Manager.
